A sun-baked vessel where crackled sand-coloured glaze mimics parched earth, its fine craquelure webbing across the surface. At the base, a sudden eruption of translucent malachite-green crystals pools like a hidden spring—the iron-rich clay body grounding this duality of drought and rebirth.

The Alchemy of Creation
Fired at 1280°C in oxidation, copper carbonate (CuCO₃) reacts with silica (SiO₂) to form the base’s crystalline greenery, while iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) in the upper glaze cracks intentionally under thermal stress. The crackle pattern is stabilized with rice starch resist.
